Today's Purchases

Here are a few things I picked up today while out and about. 

Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor Cheek Gelee $22 at Sephora. 

These are great! I've heard good things about these blushes so I wanted to try them out especially now in the summer time. These are very sheer but they build up to a nice flush on the cheeks all while still allowing your skin to shine through. These are very natural but I think they are perfect for the summer when you don't want anything to heavy on your face. They melt into your skin and feel great on. I bought the shades Coral Oasis and Poppy Paradise. I am really happy with these blushes. 

Essie Summer Nail Colors in The More the Merrier & Sunday Funday. $8 at BB&B

These are two fun colors for the summer. They are both from the Summer 2013 Naughty Nautical Collection. The More the Merrier is a creamy lime green and Sunday Funday is a mid tone pinky coral with silver shimmer. I love both of these colors and will be wearing them all summer.

Maybelline The Falsies Big Eyes Mascara

Attention! I have found my new holy grail mascara! This is phenomenal. It gives huge voluminous lashes and you can layer it to your hearts content. Maybelline mascaras are usually pretty good to me but this one takes the cake. I love the lower lash brush as well as the upper one. It is so tiny making it super easy to get those lashes coated. Go get this!

Lime Crime Aquataenia Palette

I bought this palette after falling in love with the D'Antoinette palette. I am just in live with this one. These colors are perfect for summer. They are creamy and blendable. I cannot wait to do some looks with this palette.

Today's Purchases

I went to Target today to get the Sonia Kashuk Moroccan Dunes Eyeshadow Quad that everyone has been raving about. I got it, but you know I can't leave the beauty section with just one thing. So here is what I got. 

Sonia Kashuk Moroccan Dunes Eyeshadow Quad. $16.00

This is absolutely gorgeous. I cannot wait to wear this. The four colors are creamy and very pigmented. The shadows are raised with a snakeskin pattern on them. I've heard that this is very similar to the Chanel Topkapi Quad that was released a year or so ago. I don't have that but this palette makes me wish I did. This is limited edition for the summer so go grab this before it's gone. 

Sonia Kashuk Fair and square eyeshadow quad. $13.99 

I also have heard good things about the permanent eyeshadows from Sonia Kashuk so I knew I wanted to try one of those as well. I had three in my hand but ultimately decided on this one. These quads remind me of the Tom Ford quads in the sense that they have three eyeshadows and then a glittery "top coat" shadow. I love this quad and you can bet I am going to be picking up more in the near future. The light peachy shade has such a beautiful sparkle to it that I couldn't capture in photos. There are also a shimmery bronze and dark brown and then the champagne colored glitter shadow. These colors go so well together and they don't look like any of my MAC shadows. If you have any recommendations of other quads let me know because I am definantely picking up more. 

Pacifica Natural Color Quench Lip Tint in Coconut Nectar. $6.99

Oh My Gosh this smells sooo good!!!  It smells like a  coconut summery drink on the beach. This will be in my beach bag all summer long. It gives just a touch of bronzey color to the lips while being very moisturizing. I want to smell the other flavors of this but for now I am obsessed with the coconut nectar one. 

Sally Hansen Insta-Dry Polish in Man-Go Team!   $5.00

This color is so unique and stood out to me in the display. I believe this color is new for summer. I already know the Insta-Dry formula is fantastic so I am happy to add this bright beautiful color to my collection!

This is only my second time doing ombré nails but I just love them. I used the triangle makeup sponge method. There's a bunch of youtube videos if you don't know what I'm talking about. I used three of the colors from the new China Glaze Sunsational Creme Collection. Love it! Xoxo

Laura Mercier Mint Snow Caviar Stick

I bought this about a month ago but I just decided to pull it out today. I'm a big fan of the colored under eye liner look. This is my go to way of adding some color to my day to day makeup. This color really pops my brown eyes. It is metallic and creamy, it blends out seamlessly and is the perfect pop of color. I also bought a pink and purple one. I can't wait to try those out as well. Here are a few things I've purchased over the last week. 

Revlon Precision Lash Glue        $5.00 at CVS

This is my hands down favorite lash glue. It dries so fast and makes putting falsies on a breeze. I've really been getting back into false lashes so I had to grab this and it really is great. 

Tarte Aqualillies Palette       $38.00 at Ulta

I originally wasn't going to purchase this palette but after seeing a couple of rave reviews I just had to see what it was all about. I've only swatched the colors so far but they are very creamy and pigmented. I love that most of the summer palettes this year have a turquoise-blue (yep, i made up a color) shade. I think it adds a lot to the palette because I especially love to place that color under my lower lash line to pop the look. I have used the blush and it is gorgeous. A creamy peach shade that just screams spring/summer. The bronzer is the famous Park Ave Princess bronzer which we all know and love. It's a great matte bronzer. The champagne highlighter also is beautiful. I see myself using this palette all summer long. I'm very glad that i decided to look twice at this palette because it is definitely worth picking up. I am going to love this on vacation. 

PJandPoppy Tassel Necklace in black       $18.00 via Etsy

I've been looking for a cheaper alternative to the HRH Collection tassel necklace for a while, so when i saw this i figured I'd give it a shot. I'm so glad I did, it is the same vibe as the HRH one but at a fraction of the price. You can tell it is very well made. I love it. It is so classic that it can be paired with a variety of different outfits to add some flair. This baby is going to get a lot of use all summer.

Laura Mercier Ritual Dupe!

Okay so I saw that the Hard Candy blush in Bombshell was a dupe to the new and highly coveted laura mercer ritual powder. Now i haven't seen the LM in person but from pictures online it seems to be very similar. At 7$, this will do for me. Xoxo

Lorac GloGetter Palette (Ulta Exclusive)

I originally wasn't planning on picking this palette up but when I saw it in person I just knew it was meant to be mine. It is absolutely stunning. If you love colored eyeshadow, you will LOVE this. You need it. (I will be your enabler, blame me). Xoxo

Tarte Airblush Maracuja Blush in Shimmering Pink

"A creamy, long-wearing blush fuses the ease and blendability of a cream blush with a soft-focus and airbrushed finish".

I was in the mood for a new cream blush so I went to Ulta to try out a few. I was thinking about the Tarte cream blushes because I already have a bunch of the powder blushes and they are fabulous. This one is no exception. Creamy and blends out like a dream. The color is a mid tone blue based pink with golden shimmer. It leaves the prettiest flush of color on the cheeks. I am so happy with this purchase and I now have my eye on the shimmering peach one. ;) Xoxo
