DRUGSTORE GOODIES

I've been searching for the new Milani Matte lipsticks and blushes for a while and finally found them at my local Walgreens the other day. Milani is one of my favorite brands so I was excited to see some new  products from them, especially if they're matte.

First up are the Matte Lipsticks. There were 8 to choose from but I just grabbed three for now. These lipsticks are creamy and feel amazing on the lips compared to other matte formulas that I've tried in the past.

I also grabbed two of the new Matte Blushes as well. There were three in the display but i only purchased two. These have such great pigmentation to them and they blend like a dream. They are a tad on the powdery side but nothing that can't be fixed. I think these are one of the better formulas of blush at the drugstore and I hope they come out with more colors in the future.

Have you picked up any of these products?

CHEEKY SWEET SPOT

Okay guys, so I went a little crazy at the Sephora VIB sale. I also picked up the Benefit Cheeky Sweet Spot Box o' Blushes. I love the Benefit boxed blushes but currently I only own Rockateur so i thought this was the perfect little set to build back my collection.

This set includes: Dandelion, Bella Bamba, Sugarbomb, Hoola, Coralista and Rockateur blushes, as well as the Watts Up! highlighter. The quality of these powders are the same as if you purchased them individually which is really nice because I hate when you purchase a holiday set and the quality is not on point.

I think this set is one of the best bangs for your buck this holiday season. Unfortunately I cannot find this product online but if you go to your local Sephora or Ulta I'm sure you can find it. I think this set is in the $30 range which is fabulous for the amount of product that you get.

ULTA FINDS

I needed some retail therapy last week so of course I went to my local Ulta. Here is what I picked up.

Lorac Baked Satin Matte Blush: Velvet Rope

I have heard good things about this blush before and I was just browsing when I saw this color. It is the best fall blush color in my opinion. The perfect shade of rosy bronze to go with all the warm tined eyes and dark lips I've been sporting lately. It gives color without being over the top and leaves a beautiful sheen on the cheeks that makes you look like you've been outside frolicking in the leaves.

Retail: $24 at Ulta

Urban Decay Naked Illuminating Shimmering Powder: Aura

This is without a doubt the prettiest highlighter that I own. This highlighter is the most perfect pinky sheen with golden sparkles in it that give you a glow without making you look like a glitter bomb. When this catches the light it looks like fairies are dancing on your face. I wasn't interested in the original champagne version of this but this Aura color is absolutely amazing. it was hard to capture just how fabulous this is on camera but just trust me, you need it.

Retail: $29 at Ulta

HOLIDAY LOVING

Okay people, it's the best time of the year for makeup junkies like us. Holiday sets are popping up everywhere and I am trying to contain myself but when I saw this years Too Faced collection i just knew this palette was going to be mine. I still use and love my "A few of my favorite things" palette from last year so I knew I was going to like this one also and boy was i right.

The 2014 Everything Nice Set from Too Faced is absolutely stunning.

"Create any makeup look you desire for the holidays with this versatile, must-have makeup palette. The deluxe size Better Than Sex Mascara and 20, pigment-rich eye shadows with exclusive new shades ensure show-stopping eyes. Brush on a winter glow with the two blushes, including Papa Don’t Peach and two bronzers, featuring the antioxidant-rich Chocolate Soleil Bronzer. This set includes three gold glitter, Cruelty-Free Teddy Bear Hair brushes that make perfect beauty tools for completing any look. Carry this set everywhere with the included, limited-edition party-ready, pink glitter zip bag, and let the step-by-step, how-to glamour guide with three beauty looks help you get ready. "

Let's take a look shall we?

These colors are so dead on for the season. There is everything from neutrals to create an everyday look to bright fun jewel toned shadows to carry us into the holiday season with fun party looks. The quality of these shadows is on point with the permanent palettes; buttery, pigmented, and they blend easily.

Onto the swatches

The first row from top to bottom: Turtle Dove, Paper Roses, Heaven, Totally Fetch

Second Row: Dream On, Kindness is Free, Shiny Happy, Live It Up

Third row: After Hours, Mauvelous, Honey Pot, Too Glam

Fourth Row: Fawned of You, Be You, Don't Settle, Head Over Heels

Fifth Row: Knockout, Secret Lovers, Girly, Chocolate Moon

And the blushes: Papa Don't Peach, Sweet Pink

I couldn't really get the bronzer or highlighter to show up true to color on camera but the bronzer is the classic Chocolate Soleil and the highlighter Inner Light is a beautiful shimmery golden color. They both show up great on the skin but for some reason they were washing out on camera.

Overall I think this palette is a great one and It definantely is worth the money.

Retail: $56.00 at Sephora

Have you purchased and holiday palettes yet? Anything else I "need"?

NEW MAC GOODNESS

I haven't bought anything from MAC for a while so when I saw there were a few new releases that looked promising I decided to take a look.

Modern Mandarin Blush originally came out with the Tres Cheek collection a few springs back and I beat myself up for not picking it up after seeing everyone raving about this blush so when I heard that Modern Mandarin was recently made permanent, I jumped on it.

Next up are the new PatentPolish Lip Pencils. These are limited edition so I decided to take a look at them while I was in store and I am so glad I did. The formula of these polishes is absolutely amazing. These are one of the best products MAC has released in a long time. They feel balmy on the lips but are packed with color and the shades that were released are perfect for spring. I couldn't help myself, I bought four, and i want more. Help me.

Have you tried any of these new releases from MAC?
