NYC SPRING 2014 LE CITY BLOOM COLLECTION

I've been on a search for this collection ever since I saw NouveauCheap's post on her blog. NYC has been impressing me lately. Their recent lipstick collection was fabulous so as soon as I saw this I knew I had to have it. I finally saw a full untouched display at Rite Aid and I scooped it up. There are $1.00 tear off coupons on the display that you can use on each item so I picked up a bunch of products.

First up are three limited edition IndividualEyes shadow palettes. These colors are so spring appropriate and I heard that the formulation of the shadows has been improved so I picked up all three.

Blue Skies

Love Is The Air

All Eyes On Us

Next up is a limited edition color wheel mosaic face wheel in Spring Petals. This color is absolutely GORGEOUS. A shimmery coraly pink color. I might need a back up of this color.

Last but not least are three limited edition Applicious Glossy Balms. These colors are sheer but give a nice wash of color on the lips, and they smell like candy. I love to reapply these colors just for the smell.

Overall I love this collection, the colors are dead on for spring. There were also five nail colors and a mascara in the display and I am thinking about picking up the nail colors. There were a yellow, coral, mint, pink, and shimmer top coat. I do not have much experience with NYC nail polishes but the colors are so cute that I will probably try them out. Have you seen this collection in your area? If so pick these products up.

TURKISH DELIGHT DUPE

I used to love those little Bonne Bell Lip Smackers when i was a kid. I've never looked into this brand deeper than that but when I was at my local Rite Aid yesterday I saw a new display of Bonne Bell lip products I decided to grab one of the new glosses. I decided on Pink Velvet Gelato, a beautiful baby pink color. As I opened and swatched this gloss I was thinking how close it is to Nars Turkish Delight lipgloss. The color is almost dead on. What I love about this gloss over the Nars is the smell. Nars lip glosses tend to smell like plastic and this Bonne Bell gloss smells like candy.

For $3.49 you can't beat it.

SMOKE SCREEN

Sigma Beauty has always been known for makeup brushes right?
Well they have been expanding their line with some fabulous products lately. I purchased the Warm Neutrals palette from the Enlight collection a few months ago and was so impressed that when Sigma release their new Born To Be collection with the Smoke Screen eyeshadow palette I knew I wanted to pick it up. This palette is the same amazing quality as the warm neutrals palette. The colors are creamy and pigmented and go on the eye like a dream. I love that this palette has a few pops of color in it to amp up my normal neutral eye looks for spring. Overall i think this palette is great for the price. Pick it up while you still can.

LET'S GET CHOCOLATE WASTED

So I've been seeing everyone and their mother talking about the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette that released as part of their Spring 2014 collection. This palette never really appealed to me but after seeing rave review after rave review I decided to look at it when I was at my Ulta last week and boy am I glad I did. This palette is stunning; I can see why everyone loves it.  There are colors in this to create everything from a light eye to dark and smokey to colorful. I am in love, I can't believe I waited this long to pick this up but I'm glad I got my hands on it before it's gone.

Oh, and did I mention that it actually smells like chocolate!

All of these swatches are on bare skin with no base.

These colors are very pigmented and blend like a dream. Grab this palette while you can.

Retail: $49.00 at Ulta and Sephora

LIME CRIME

I've wanted to try a lipstick from Lime Crime for a while but the colors that i had my eye on have been sold out for months so I patiently waited and last week when I saw Babette and Coquette were back in stock I jumped on it and made a purchase.

Coquette is a highly pigmented creamy nude lipstick with a creme finish. This color can look a little dead  on me by itself so I usually top it with a pink or nude gloss to balance it out.

Babette is a bright coral lipstick with the same creamy and highly pigmented finish as Coquette. These lipsticks are no joke. One swipe on the lips is all you need to deliver color. I find these lipsticks last about four hours until I feel the need to touch up and reapply. I do find that they bleed outside the lip line slightly so I use a lipliner.

And can we just talk about the packaging? A glittery unicorn; could it get any better?

Overall I really like these lipsticks and I am looking forward to pairing these with glosses to switch it up.
